We don't eat bacon but the people we love do. And to preface- this is Jean speaking- I can singly tuck into a large ball of burrata and eat the whole thing without blinking - there is no judgement here. Eat what you love.
And the people we love, love bacon.
So needless to say, Rach and I have cooked our fair share of this quintessential breakfast meat. And tbh, it's never a fuuun task- having it pop and spit in your face, getting spattered with grease, wrestling for cooktop space then spending a good chunk of time cleaning it off the backsplash afterwards.. not so fun.
Until... we discovered this oven method and it is THE BEST WAY TO COOK BACON. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. NO PANS. NO COOKTOP. NO THANK YOU.
Baked Bacon:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay strips of bacon side-by-side on the parchment paper. Make sure they are not touching each other.
Bake bacon in the oven for 15-20 minutes, depending on its thickness and your desired crispiness.
Carefully remove the sheet from the oven.
Using tongs remove bacon strips from the sheet and lay on a paper-towel-lined plate.
So easy. Practically mess-free. Now that is a good time.
